Methode developed the shrinkMate® tubing system by integrating our conductive ink formulation and electronic assembly shielding expertise with EMI, RFI and ESD requirements. shrinkMate connectors consist of R-46846 polyolefin shrink tubing coated, on the inner surface, with Methode's conductive silver ink formulation. When heat is applied from a typical heat gun, the tubing shrinks without causing the inner conductive coating to fracture or buckle, maintaining conductivity and creating an electrical connection between the outside surfaces of the objects joined by the tubing.
Superior Electrical Connection
Providing a complete circumferential shield around the connector and the shielded cable, shrinkMate electrical connections are possible between components of various sizes and shapes, and between solderable and non-solderable surfaces, such as stamped metal, plated finishes and shielding paints.
Environmentally Friendly
RoHS-compliant shrinkMate uses Methode's exclusive Polymer Thick Film silver ink for reliable electrical termination.
